# BriefBash

> BriefBash analyzes a competitor article and returns the content brief you would have spent an hour writing — in about 30 seconds.

BriefBash (https://briefbash.com) takes a competitor article URL and produces six deliverables:

- COMPETITOR TEARDOWN: title structure, word count, H2 tree, keywords, entities, search intents covered vs missed
- GEO READINESS: whether the site is citable by AI assistants — llms.txt presence, AI bot access in robots.txt, structured data. These three are measured from the live site, not guessed.
- 3-5 ATTACK POINTS: specific competitor flaws, each with a why-you-win angle
- WRITER BRIEF: 3 title options, H2 outline with per-section word counts, must-answer questions, link targets
- SERP REALITY: estimated top-10 average word count and what content types actually rank
- AI CITATION SCORE: 0-10 with blockers and citable sections

Pricing: your first brief is free (one per email). After that $2.99 per brief (launch price — list $4.99), or $29.90 one-time for 15 credits (1 credit = 1 brief — pay for 10). Credits never expire. One-time purchases only — no subscription. Failed analyses are never charged.

# Data semantics
Every finding in a brief carries a basis tag. "measured" means a server-side probe observed it directly (robots.txt directives, llms.txt presence, structured data detection, Google index checks, Perplexity search). "inferred" means the analysis model judged it from page content. The AI Citation Score itself is model-assessed (0-10), but the GEO factors it deducts for — llms.txt, AI bot access, structured data — are measured from the live site, never guessed. When any of them is missing, it is always listed as a blocker with the largest point values.

# MCP server
Agent endpoint: https://briefbash.com/mcp (stateless JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTP; connect with: claude mcp add --transport http briefbash https://briefbash.com/mcp). Tools: submit_analysis(url, email) starts a teardown and returns a brief_id; get_brief(brief_id) returns the AI Citation Score summary with a brief_url for the full teardown. Fair use: up to 3 submitted briefs per IP per day through MCP; the email passed still goes through the normal first-free/credit gates.
